Fearfully and Wonderfully Made

It is absolutely amazing how God designed human beings. There is no creation like the creation of who we are. We are uniquely made by a God who says He knew us even before we were formed in our mother's womb. He decided what we would look like, our gender, body type, skin, hair, and eye color. Have you ever in a million years thought that every single part of every human being was thought out and designed by God?

When I first read Jeremiah 1:5 in the Bible, I could hardly believe it. I had spent almost half of my life trying to change EVERYTHING I felt was not right about me. My skin, hair, eyes, and other parts of my body. In my opinion, there were just so many things about me that weren't right. What could God have been thinking, to have me looking like this? It took accepting Jesus Christ and reading the Bible to realize God hadn't just mixed some cells together, threw them in my mother's womb, and out I came looking like first one thing and another!

You see, "fearfully and wonderfully made" friends, God's word is true and it is the designer's opinion that we are indeed a magnificent work created by Him and in His image. He is the potter and we are the clay. Psalm 139:13-18 explains exactly how God feels about you, His design. Why are so many of us dissatisfied with our appearance? We are taught to be! Many times by our own people groups, our entertainment industry, our church's, our school's, universities, government, nation, yes our entire world.

Because we live in a fallen world that works overtime to quickly change our minds about our physical makeup, it starts early and it doesn't stop. There are evil voices, both seen and unseen that say you should be this and not that, look like this and not that, weigh this not that, you get the point.

That is why it's so important to believe God and what He says about us. No matter what you are designed to look like, it was absolutely not a mistake.

What God does ask us to do is take care of our bodies, His creation. You, God, and the Holy Spirit decide what that looks like for you. We must believe what God says about us, teach our children and grandchildren what God says about them, and just maybe we will have many out of today's generation that understand they are truly fearfully and wonderfully made.

Love this! The insight into how you felt and the realization that there ARE NO MISTAKES by God is so relatable
